The Richmond Hill City Center

is proud to be the first commercial facility in Bryan County, Georgia to be LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

What does that mean?

It certifies that the construction of the building was intended to be environmentally responsible, in turn consuming its resources more efficiently. As a green building, we are dedicated to reducing its environmental impact through:

  • Energy savings
  • Water efficiency
  • CO2 emissions reduction
  • Improved indoor environmental quality
  • Stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
How can this benefit your meeting, party, or function?

Due to the energy saving components built into the facility, the indoor air quality is better and healthier than in a traditionally built facility. The renewable energy sources make your use of the facility less impactful on the surrounding area.

"Green Meetings," what are they?

A green meeting is the way to be conscious of the environmental impact that the meeting may have on the surrounding ecosystem. By use of recyclable paper products, water service without the use of plastic, lighting and HVAC-controlled rooms and green components built into the framework of the meeting space, a meeting at Richmond Hill City Center impacts the environment much less than in a traditional venue.

  • We are a LEED Certified Building
  • Our on-site culinary team sources as much as they possibly can locally. We have a growing, edible garden that includes an array of herbs, edible flowers, lemon trees, orange trees, and blueberry bushes.
  • We use glass water bottle service for all meetings and events.
  • We use only green products to clean the building.
  • We recycle where we can
  • We use recycled paper in bathrooms and for all meeting materials. When we have to use a disposable item, we make sure it is a green product that is recyclable or compostable, such as palm leaf dinnerware.
  • We have a fax scan program in place to cut down on printed materials and all our marketing material is in a digital format to cut back on paper waste.

Our goal:

Reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining and setting higher standards for the meeting and event experience.
